The
International Foundation exists to help people of the developing
world in their endeavors to solve some of their problems,
to attain a better standard of living and to obtain a reasonable
degree of self-sufficiency.
The Foundation funds only projects of U.S.A based philanthropies
having a tax-exempt status under Sec.501(c)(3) of the U.S.
Internal Revenue Code as public charities.
The International Foundation does not set geographical boundaries
for its grants except that priority is given to needs outside
the U.S.A. Since approximately 96% of U.S. foundation grants
are for domestic needs, The International Foundation supports
projects in the U.S. only if judged to be meeting very unusual
and neglected needs in the U.S.A. In making grants, while
The International Foundation does try to seek a geographic
and sector balance, its guidelines are not to be considered
rigidly confining.
Although the resources of The International Foundation are
comparatively small, the Trustees are committed to a judicious
application of those resources to the fundamental and sometimes
desperate needs of people.
The International Foundation does not fund conferences, scholarships,
or video productions.
