Dr. McCormack is Distinguished Teaching Professor of Medicine and of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Emeritus at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York. He was formerly on the faculty at Harvard Medical School. He studied the epidemiology of cholera in Bangladesh under the auspices of the United States Centers for Disease Control. He is recognized internationally for his work on infectious diseases including AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections. He resides in Massachusetts.
